Test Engineer
- The Resident Engineer will report to the Resident Engineering Lead at the plant. The Resident Engineer will lead reactive machine and design issues and apply advanced problem solving and engineering knowledge to identify risks and create risk mitigation plans to resolve production and quality system deficiencies. The selected candidate will oversee and review project deliverables throughout the project lifecycle ensuring the product meets or exceeds customers' needs and expectations.
- Specific Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead teams to identify risks/hazards associated with product designs, processes, applications, applying lessons learned, and assist in the generation of FMEA's and associated Control Plans.
- Control plan ownership and maintenance
- Employ advanced problem-solving expertise to correct unfavorable variances and communicate alternative measures to mitigate engineering, timing and/or financial issues.
- Coordinate and schedule all special build (PER) and change notice (CN) requests ensuring manufacturing and quality team buy in as required while minimizing the impact to the plant metrics.
- Perform CN / PER risk assessments.
- Lead quality and customer safety (QCS) preventive and proactive technical tools for occurance and release (O&R), quality maintenance (X and QM), and reactive/preventive QA Matrices and read across.
- Provide technical direction to employees regarding root cause analysis, issue resolution and establish corrective actions serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the manufacturing facility including supplier quality defects.
- Create and maintain repair procedures associated with non-standard, non-closed loop repair processes as required including blue dot rework instructions.
