G-TECH Chairman + CEO Kouhaila Hammer spoke during the Great Lakes Women’s Business Conference’s opening session on September 26. In its 17th year, the annual conference draws certified women-owned businesses from around the region, along with corporate and government supplier diversity and procurement professionals.
During her talk, Kouhaila spoke about the value of WBENC membership and offered advice on maximizing the conference’s opportunities to connect with potential clients and WBE partners.
“No one knows the challenges of being a woman in business better than other women in business,” she said. “We are a tightly-knit community that is supportive of our members and proud of all of our successes, even when we are competitors. We do so because we ultimately share the same goal: to have the same business opportunities as our male counterparts. Through organizations like WBENC and the Great Lakes Women’s Business Council, we are getting closer to achieving that goal.”
G-TECH is proud to be an active member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), working alongside this great organization to fuel economic growth and promote the success of our fellow women-owned businesses. We were thrilled to be a Gold Sponsor of this year’s Great Lakes Women’s Business Conference.
