Contract

We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our fast-paced production environment. In this role, you’ll serve as the key liaison between the production line, engineering teams, and suppliers—quickly identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues related to vehicle assembly and drivability.

You’ll be part of a 12-person team, divided into Interior, Exterior, and Chassis groups. New hires will be flexibly assigned to two of these three areas based on fit and team needs. With production running at a rate of one vehicle every 60 seconds, this is a dynamic role that requires fast decision-making, sharp problem-solving, and excellent communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assembly and drivability issues identified during vehicle production.

  • Work under the direction of team leads who assign daily tasks and priorities.

  • Investigate root causes of quality issues and collaborate with engineers and suppliers to drive timely resolutions.

  • Communicate real-time updates and floor issues via radio during full production.

  • Take ownership of specific parts and commodities once trained and fully integrated.

  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and external partners to support quality improvements.

  • Participate in structured training to become proficient in internal systems, quality processes, and problem-solving methods.

  • Interpret and apply technical documentation, including blueprints, schematics, and CAD-generated reports, to inform troubleshooting.

  • Use engineering software, including Computer Aided Design (CAD), to support investigations and documentation.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

  • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

  • Leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.

  • Familiarity with interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and reports.

  • Experience with CAD and other engineering-related software tools.

  • Excellent communication skills; able to work cross-functionally with suppliers, engineers, and production teams.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a quality engineering or manufacturing support role.

  • Experience working in automotive or high-volume production environments.

  • Familiarity with issue tracking, root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams), and corrective action processes.
