Role Overview
This position is responsible for delivering technical and regulatory guidance on Workplace Safety, including mentoring, coaching, and support to site or functional operations. The role assists Site Leadership in ensuring ongoing compliance with all MIOSHA regulations, aligning with the company's established Safety Requirements.

Expertise
•           Possesses a solid Safety foundation and a foundational understanding of industry practices and procedures, typically achieved through an undergraduate degree, relevant professional certification, or equivalent practical experience.
•           Demonstrates critical analysis skills acquired via academic preparation or comparable experience, enabling effective identification, description, and recommendations regarding business challenges encountered in daily activities. Applies professional/theoretical knowledge and problem solving strategies to address and resolve issues.
Job Description
•           Analyze Workplace Safety data, communicate findings and trends, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
•           Evaluate site Workplace Safety performance and Industrial Hygiene processes to ensure adherence to MIOSHA standards.
•           Serve as the primary resource for site Workplace Safety and Industrial Hygiene requirements.
•           Collaborate with GWS, Site, and company Leadership to advance Workplace Safety culture transformation efforts.
•           Deliver training and development initiatives to promote a positive safety culture among site employees.
•           Foster partnerships with key personnel such as Enterprise Safety Operations, Global Workplace Safety, Human Resources, Industrial Hygiene, Labor, Environmental, Ergonomics, and Health Services teams.
•           Support the implementation of safety processes across the site under the direction of a Safety Leader.
•           Provide guidance to facilitate successful adoption of MIOSHA safety requirements and other company safety or Industrial Hygiene related initiatives.
•           Work collaboratively with GWS comapny safety stakeholders, site peers, and leadership to develop actionable plans and effective tracking systems that eliminate obstacles and facilitate the timely execution of safety projects.
•           Support or lead the resolution of safety concerns as required.
•           Perform additional duties as assigned by leader.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Safety experience minimum of 2 years
Powertrain or foundry schools will be a plus
Vehicle/Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus
