We are looking to hire an HR Investigator who can do the following tasks:
– Investigate workplace complaints between employees, raised through internal company channels by taking statements from hourly employees on their complaints.
This includes: preparing case files, writing questions based on the complaint, interviewing the complainant, interviewing witnesses, interviewing the person of interest (POI), creating and updating the investigation summary
Prepare, track, and maintain appropriate investigation documentation. – Manage employee data and statements in a highly confidential manner.
– Foster an effective, inclusive work environment/culture and relationships, balancing employee advocacy with stewardship of company goals and values. –
Provide support to salaried personnel, as appropriate – Support all health and safety requirements of employees, as applicable

Experience Required:
– 5 or more years of experience of conducting complex employee investigations, including interviewing complainants, witnesses and the person of interest (accused), and dispositioning the case, and overall case management – 2 or more years of experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience Preferred:
– Working in a manufacturing and/or unionized environment – Experience with typing statements as employees are giving their accounts of what happened

– Candidates must have excellent typing skills, as they will be typing what employees say as they’re saying it.
– This is an ONSITE position at the Chicago Assembly Plant. It is not hybrid or work-from-home.
The plant’s address is in Chicago, IL. Please make sure candidates keep this address in mind when considering commute time, including during inclement weather. – Candidates must agree to be flexible with their schedule, as some investigations are from employees who work evening or weekend shifts. It is expected that the Investigator will be able to flex their schedule to work into the evening shift, as needed, or even a Saturday if required.
