Maintenance Planner Lead

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Planner to support maintenance activities at an EOEG (Ethylene Oxide/Ethylene Glycol) facility. This is an experienced-level role requiring strong mechanical maintenance planning skills and the ability to independently develop detailed work packages and support execution in a chemical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct field walks and evaluate incoming maintenance work orders.

• Develop detailed maintenance plans, job plans, and work packages for craft personnel.

• Plan and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities involving pumps, heat exchangers, valves, piping systems, and other mechanical equipment.

• Create, maintain, and manage work plans in SAP.

• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding parts, materials, and equipment availability.

• Generate purchase orders and support procurement activities.

• Collaborate with plant gatekeepers, work activity coordinators, and maintenance teams to ensure successful execution of planned work.

• Identify potential issues and develop comprehensive, practical, and cost-effective maintenance plans.

• Support the safe and efficient execution of maintenance activities within a plant environment.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in maintenance planning and/or maintenance coordination.

• Proven experience developing maintenance work packages and detailed job plans.

• Strong mechanical maintenance knowledge and technical writing skills.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook.

• Ability to work independently in an industrial manufacturing environment.

• Comfortable conducting field walks and working in a plant environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP experience.

• Maintenance planning experience in a chemical plant, refinery, petrochemical, LNG, or similar heavy industrial environment.

• Background in pipefitting, piping design, or mechanical maintenance.

• Active TWIC Card strongly preferred due to site access requirements.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced mechanical maintenance planner with a background in petrochemical, refinery, chemical manufacturing, LNG, or a similar industrial environment. Candidates should have demonstrated experience creating comprehensive work packages, coordinating maintenance activities, using SAP, and supporting mechanical equipment maintenance programs. A pipefitting or piping background is highly desirable.
