This Scheduling Technologist manages capital and expense project schedules by gathering contractor updates, integrating daily progress into a master Primavera P6 schedule, and ensuring construction managers are informed of schedule risks, delays, or deviations. They serve as the keeper of all schedule intelligence and help maintain project alignment.
Responsibilities:
· Collect daily/weekly progress updates from contractors.
· Enter schedule updates into the master P6 project schedule.
· Identify and flag scheduling concerns, delays, or earned/lost man‑hours.
· Report issues to the Construction Manager (CM) for escalation to contractors.
· Lead construction management update meetings, including preparing PowerPoint presentations and presenting schedule status slide-by-slide
· Ensure contractors adhere to deliverable submission timelines.
· Maintain accurate schedule documentation and progress records.
· Interface regularly with the Lead Scheduler (primary contact), Construction Managers, and Contractors to provide progress updates, and other Engineering and project stakeholders
Requirements:
· Mastery-level proficiency in Primavera P6 (required)
· Strong scheduling experience (industrial construction preferred).
· Ability to analyze trends and identify deviations in progress.
· Ability to prepare and present professional PowerPoint updates.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Professional demeanor — this role interacts with senior leaders and stakeholders.
· Experience in contractor-facing schedule management.
· Strong organizational and communication skills
· Ability to handle critical project information accurately
· Confidence leading meetings and interacting with project leadership
· Detail‑oriented and able to identify emerging schedule risks
