Position Description:
• Use plant monitoring software to review cycle times of machinery, review and follow up machinery projects and installations • Troubleshoot PLC, robot, and other machinery problems • Update program backups for machinery • Program new installations of machinery and conveyor systems • Reprogram machinery for engineering changes and improvements
Skills Required:
o Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls – Siemens and/or Indramat PL7 o Electrical Background (electrician or technician) o Related experience o Siemens and Indramat servo and VFD drives o Familiarity with VFD’s, Armor starts, encoders, network/Ethernet controls
Experience Required:
2+ years of related controls and debug experience.
Experience Preferred:
o Ability to independently troubleshoot equipment and continuously evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and delivery o ABB robot experience o Microsoft office including excel, powerpoint, word, etc. o Ability to read prints, AutoCAD, interpret and modify electrical schematics o Ability to read blueprints
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in engineering
