Position Summary

We are seeking an Environmental EH&S Technician to support environmental compliance programs within a manufacturing environment. While part of the Environmental, Health & Safety team, this role is primarily focused on environmental operations, including waste management, regulatory compliance, inspections, and environmental reporting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with environmental compliance programs and enjoy working closely with operations to ensure regulatory requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support environmental compliance programs with a primary focus on waste management and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform waste characterization, storage area inspections, and disposal determinations.
  • Conduct environmental inspections, including SPCC compliance activities and self-assessments.
  • Collect, maintain, and manage environmental data and documentation for air permits, regulatory reporting, and compliance records.
  • Identify environmental compliance concerns and partner with operations to implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with third-party laboratories, waste disposal vendors, and environmental service providers.
  • Maintain accurate environmental records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of environmental compliance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, chemical, refinery, or similar environment.
  • Experience with waste characterization, inspections, waste management, and disposal processes.
  • Working knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance programs.
  • Experience supporting air permitting, water compliance, SPCC programs, or environmental audits is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across operations and external partners.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently following initial training.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard data management tools.
