This individual will lead development and implementation of automation projects
– Collaborative robots
– AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots)
– Vision Systems
The candidate will be working on project-based work. We have many collaborative robotic technologies coming in. This person will be one of the leaders of that project, so they will work on collaborating robot applications, writing programs for it, working through the installation, and all the safety buy off. There is some degree of project management to it, but really, we need controls experience in it, as that's the missing piece that our current workforce doesn't have: the ability to spend the time it takes to work through the nitty gritty of the controls integration of these systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead automation project that will involve (but are not limited to):
Collaborative Robotics
Vision Systems
Autonomous Mobile Vehicles
Lead controls integration of new automation devices into existing systems utilizing:
PLC’s
HMI’s
Plant Floor Systems
Facilities Equipment
Lead the installation, debug, and start-up of automated equipment
Lead the safety review and buy off process for automated equipment
Provide technical support and training to on-site employees as part of new installations
Support offsite equipment builds by attending reviews/buy-offs at equipment integrators (Expect less than 10% travel)
Skills:
Proficient with application of programmable machine controls hardware and software (PLC, Experience with Safety Code preferred)
Proficient with robotics (Fanuc CRX experience preferred)
Proficient with AutoCAD
Proficient with Vision Systems (Sick, Keyance, Matrox)
Familiar with basic electrical standards
Familiar with robotic safety standards/systems (DCS)
Proficient in leading project teams
Education/Experience:
– Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Field
– 5-7 Years of Experience Required
– Direct experience with integrating, installing, and/or debugging new robotic systems
