Position Description:

Responsibilities What you’ll do…
• Support tooling design reviews to ensure manufacturability and process robustness.
• Monitor tool construction progress and verify compliance with program requirements and standards.
• Coordinate tool tryout activities and support the prove-out to achieve dimensional quality and run-at-rate capability.
• Identify and resolve tooling issues impacting timing, quality, or manufacturability. • Support build events, PSW readiness, and launch milestones.
• Track and support resolution of Yellow Items and other tooling risks.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, program managers, and tool shops to ensure tooling readiness.
• Document tooling issues and support corrective action implementation.

Skills Required:
Mechanical Engineering
• Strong background in stamping tooling construction, tryout, and die development.
• Experience working with automotive tool shops and production stamping processes.
• Understanding of die build, tryout, and production readiness requirements.
• Ability to identify tooling risks and support resolution activities.
• Experience working within structured tooling or launch processes (Stamping Tooling Specialist (STS) or similar).
• Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills.

Experience Required:
• Strong background in stamping tooling construction, tryout, and die development.
• Experience working with automotive tool shops and production stamping processes.
• Understanding of die build, tryout, and production readiness requirements. • Ability to identify tooling risks and support resolution activities.
• Experience working within structured tooling or launch processes (STS or similar).
• Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience Preferred:
Even better, you may have…
• BSc, Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical preferred).
• Experience supporting automotive program launches.
• Familiarity with global tool shop operations.
• Understanding of part quality requirements and dimensional validation processes.
• Continuous improvement or lean manufacturing experience.

Education Required:
Bachelor’s Degree,
Associate Degree
