We are seeking a safety-focused and detail-oriented Materials Coordinator to support site operations through respiratory equipment management, warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling. This role combines hands-on responsibilities with computer-based administrative work and requires strong attention to safety, accuracy, organization, and customer service.
The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, material handling, and/or respiratory protection equipment. Experience in an industrial environment is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Respiratory Equipment Management

Inspect, clean, maintain, and test fresh-air respiratory protection equipment.

Perform bump testing and functional checks on LEL gas detection meters.

Inspect and maintain respiratory cylinders, bottles, and related equipment.
-
Maintain accurate inspection records and required regulatory documentation.
-
Coordinate equipment rental, issuance, returns, and inventory.
-
Track respiratory equipment using Microsoft Access and other applicable systems.
-
Identify damaged, defective, or expired equipment and coordinate appropriate corrective action.
-
Support emergency response readiness by ensuring respiratory equipment is available and properly maintained.
Warehouse & Materials Management

Receive, inspect, store, issue, transfer, and deliver materials throughout the site.

Complete warehouse transactions and administrative activities using computer-based systems.

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
-
Load and unload trucks and transport materials to designated locations.
-
Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts.

Stage materials to support maintenance, operations, and project activities.

Investigate and help resolve inventory discrepancies.
-
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.

Follow established warehouse procedures, inventory controls, and material handling practices.
Required Qualifications & Skills

Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, material handling, or a related field.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn systems such as SAP and mobile applications.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce and across multiple site organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with fresh-air respiratory protection equipment and inspection/maintenance procedures.

Experience performing gas detection equipment bump tests.

Experience maintaining respiratory equipment records.

Experience with Microsoft Access or similar database systems.

Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.

Experience operating material handling equipment in an industrial environment.

Familiarity with inventory management systems.
Safety & Work Environment

Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Identify and report hazards and unsafe conditions.

Work safely around chemicals, fumes, odors, moving equipment, and other industrial hazards.

Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Physical Requirements

Ability to routinely lift, carry, push, pull, and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Ability to use team assistance or approved mechanical equipment for heavier materials.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, and twist.

Ability to safely operate forklifts and other assigned material handling equipment.

Ability to work on uneven surfaces and in active industrial environments.

Adequate vision, hearing, depth perception, and hand-eye coordination to safely perform assigned duties.
