We are seeking a safety-focused Materials Coordinator to support Warehouse and Investment Recovery operations. This role combines warehouse, material handling, inventory, and investment recovery responsibilities. The successful candidate will work closely with site teams to ensure materials are handled efficiently and safely while maintaining compliance with company procedures and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warehouse Operations
  • Perform warehouse transactions and administrative activities using computer systems.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Load, unload, receive, store, and deliver materials throughout the site.
  • Follow established warehouse processes, inventory control practices, and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Investment Recovery Operations
  • Support the management of scrap metal containers throughout the plant.
  • Manage materials stored in the Investment Recovery Facility under the direction of the Investment Recovery Focal Point.
  • Develop working knowledge of equipment and materials used in a chemical manufacturing environment, including pumps, valves, gaskets, piping components, and miscellaneous plant equipment.
  • Receive training and become qualified to operate a backhoe for compacting scrap metal containers.
  • Participate in Investment Recovery meetings and support related initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support warehouse and investment recovery operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • General warehouse and material handling knowledge and experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use SAP, mobility applications, and related business processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce across multiple site organizations.
  • Strong reading comprehension and listening skills.
  • Reliable, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning and development.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to operational excellence.

Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental stewardship.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and requirements.
  • Wear required PPE and maintain attention to detail when performing assigned tasks.
  • Identify and report hazards and unsafe conditions.
  • Perform all work safely, responsibly, and in compliance with established requirements.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Routinely lift, carry, push, pull, and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds; use team assistance or approved mechanical equipment for heavier materials.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, and work in various physical positions.
  • Safely operate forklifts, material handling equipment, and other assigned equipment; operate a backhoe upon qualification.
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor industrial environments with exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, chemicals, fumes, and odors, with appropriate PPE provided.
  • Possess the vision, depth perception, hearing, and hand-eye coordination necessary to safely perform assigned duties.
