Perform work on development vehicles and/or components. Investigate mechanical/electrical issues on products and/or components and recommend corrective action. Work independently with guidance as needed from Team Leader/Group Leader. Work duties follow general practices and procedures and involve a definite degree of skill, accuracy and coordination.

– Perform mechanical and/or electrical updates on prototype and production vehicles including development of unique hardware
solutions as requested.
– Perform more complex tests or diagnostics on vehicles or components
– Program and interrogate vehicle controllers for software updates and diagnostics
– Work with various engineering customers to clarify objectives and understand requirements
– Perform development and validation testing
– Maintain records on work performed, analyzes data collected, and report results
– Recommend revisions to product or component design
– Maintain good housekeeping, safety practices and supplies
– Coordinate and exchange findings with engineering personnel outside work group
Qualifications – External

Basic Required:
– Thorough knowledge of complex mechanical and/or electrical concepts
– Vehicle diagnostics and repair experience
– Ability to work well independently or in a team
– Knowledge of engineering math
– Ability to read complex engineering drawings
– Good oral and written communication skills
– Perficient in Microsoft Office Environment
– Analytical ability where problems are somewhat complex
– Exceptional interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
– High Initiative

Education Requirement: 2-year degree, prefer Mechanical Degree
– ASE or State Certified Mechanic preferred

Years of experience: 8-10 years of experience

Need someone who already has the heavy mechanic skill
Experience with EV – hybrid or EV vehicle is a bonus, but will train on this if needed
